The difference between this film and "Farenheit 9/11," is that unlike "Farenheit," this film WON'T be seen throughout all of the EU and Russia to full theaters.

Hmm, let me see- EU and Russia, two socialist economies where laziness and government dole is the norm, what a surprise that they like a leftist, fat pig's movies that are anti-everything with no alternatives suggested.
Just like that hippocrit creep Al Gore who drives SUV's and has a huge electric bill (from oil and coal burning). They should get together and suck each other.

I would not criticize him because he is fat. Like so many on this chat site, he is a political zealot, dishonorable, and a traitor to his own country. He praises Cuba and just about any country who has a difference with the US. Roosevelt would have had him locked up and the key thrown away.

i find it amazing that you can't accept that we Americans cannot for the most part afford insurance. A couple of months ago I went to a doc-inna-box for a scrip for chantix. I spent over an hour and a hundred dollars there. Can Canada and Europe be slower or more expensive? I don't think so. BTW I think I saw the doc for a total of two minutes.

I caint get in to see an American doctor.
So I just go into the emergency room - at 10 times the cost!!
Then the hospital sends you the bill - in the form of higher costs!!!
Gee- it's almost liek you could say - nuthin is free in AMerica!
In fact, dooin nuthin bout a problem is more expensive than tacklin the problem head on!!

i find it amazing that you can't accept that we Americans cannot for the most part afford insurance.
Where do you get this stuff? There are 300M people in North America. Of that 45M don't have Health Ins. That's 15% of the total population. Of that 45M, 12M are illegal aliens or 27% of the 15% are not eligible for "government healthcare any way.
So now we have 300M people in North America of that 33M without ins are American citizens or 11% most of which are young simply choose not to buy it. In other words
89% have Ins and 11% don't so where do you get this "we Americans cannot for the most part afford insurance"
It would require a willing suspension of disbelief to state that Americans cannot afford insurance.

He is a liar with a capital L, but he could not be where he is today without lots of help from other celebrity liars. I can still see him sitting next to Jimmah Carter in 04 at their convention. so I couldnt get the film to work.
I never saw sicko. I do know that moore manipulates facts, this is something done regularly in documentaries, for example
if I was making a documentary about my epilepsy and insurance history:
at one point my pharmaceudacel coverage reached its limit and the insurance comany wouldnt let me upgrade to a better plan...this forced me to go without meds resulting in several seizures. at another point, when I had insurance but wasnt getting enough sleep, I had a seizure while in the shower which almost killed me (my roomate save my life).
since the second event could have happened to me while I was without insurance, for a documentary to present it as if it did would be considered acceptable in that industry, even though it isnt actually what happened.
why? b/c the point of the hypothetical documentary is not to tell my life story, but to talk about the hazards of the current insurance setup.
there are of course limits to this. ...

complete fabrication of a story would be outside the realm of ethics.
for example, if I were to say that I had a seizure while driving that killed four people and this happens 500 times per year according to the DMV. when in fact neither of those things were true...that would be unethical in the industry.
like I said I couldnt view this movie so I dont know what they were accusing moore of.
