Medical reasons? What medical reasons? Because she was depressed? You or I would still be in jail. This will just make celebs think they can get away with murder!

More details here (but not really, doesn't say anything else except story history). My guess is someone got a lot of pressure from the Hiltons ... or some money.

I'm seriously disappointed in this. Perhaps because they offered to build the Hilton wing in the new prison..

It's depressingly true that celebs do get away with whatever they want. I'm sure the long of STD's she has qualify as a 'medical condition' wouldn't want that to spread in jail.

The only way to make this silly idiot go away is not to buy one d**n thing with her ridiculous picture on it.

If there's no profit, no one would care one wit about her.

                TechnologyExpert,

                Re: Medical reasons?

I bet there weren't any medical reasons. Just a coverup for the media. Money talks...BS walks. But in this fantasy world, this piece of BS walked back to mommy and daddys mansion after serving almost 3 days.

Paris, we're not laughing with you... we're laughing at you.

After 72 hours in jail, my guess would be DTs, de-toxing.

72 to 96 hours with out your drug of choice is about the time when an addict will really start to hurt.

If the 14th amendment gives us equal protection, instead of sending Hilton to jail, they should send all of us to a Hollywood mansion for our crimes;)

In the long run, we are all to blame. When we allow useless folk like Paris and Lindsay to become near deities by our rabid attention to every detail of their lives, we prepare the way for this sort of thing. If one of their adoring fans were in the same situation, I doubt that they would receive anything like this treatment. When will we learn to respect people for actual achievements that are more substantial than appearing in a film or two, drinking, clubbing, and having lots of money? Not only does the CA court seem idiotic, this matter also appears to prove that they really can be bought. We have met the enemy and they are us! (Walt Kelly, POGO year unknown).

Sorry, but I am not taking the blame on this one. I have never asked for the media to follow this aimless twit around just so I can be entertained, nor do I care to watch the crap they gather on her. Got more to do in my life than hang on everything ever printed or filmed about celebrities. Gag.

I work in the justice system where we send people to jail all the time. This is a JOKE. I realize that the taxpayer bears the burden of providing medical care to inmates, but no one out there can tell me she is seriously ill with anything other than, "OMG, you mean someone has to watch me pee???

This collective guilt is crap. The blame lies with our judical system that caters to the rich and famous. They should have at least put some explosives in her ankle bracelet that would explode if she left the confines of her imprisonment. (This last sentence was a joke, so don't have stroke, folks.)

While everyone is complaining about the system, you make the right choice in looking at the root cause. We choose putting these politicians in office who screw up the system. We choose to worship money, fame.

The system we have now are based on economy, money, and power for a few. What else do we expect?

I think OJ was held for over a year. So if they could accomodate OJ and his baggage why could they not take care of Paris for her 23 days or what ever rediculious sentence she received ? I did not want her in jail I wish her family could have made a LARGE donation to some really worthy cause.

I am glad she is home tonight but how long do you think it will be before she breaks house arrest ?

She has 3 (or 5 depending on the counting) more days of jail than I have ever served. But, then again, I have never done anything to get me sent to jail in the first place.

Anyone want to make wages on how long until she ****** this deal up? I give it 2 weeks!@!!-Oh no-not house arrest, in her ****** mansion. This is ******!!! If I ever get arrested for the same ******, I want that deal.

The media doesn't hate Paris. They love Paris! All she has to do is open her mouth and its news and people flock to it.

Believe me, they love her....and she loves them, because all she'd be without them is some spoiled brat that nobody knows about.

The media doesn't hate her- WE hate her. WHY is this useless, talentless NOTHING newsworthy? Getting busted is the only thing she has ever done that DESERVED the kind of coverage she gets. And by the way (there are photos of her on the internet as a child) the blue eyes are contact lenses-her eyes are actually dark brown.

Once again, this shows the double standard justice system. One for the rich and powerful, one for the peons. Justice isn't blind, it has bifocals.

If it were the average citizen Joe or Jane you can be sure that they would have served most of it. I agree that if you do the crime you should do the time. I would not doubt it if she goes back to driving drunk and God forbid she kills someone, but then again she would have the money to pay the victim's family off as well. Justice is blind in some cases and just plain ignorant in this case.
