Dec. 20, 2006, 12:41 p.m.Just because something is in the news doesn't mean anyone could give a flip about it, it just means there's a good publicist at work. And Trump has some of the best.

Dec. 20, 2006, 2:56 p.m.Gossip and entertainment TV shows, mags, and such exist because a lot of people like to know what people they don't know are up to. It isn't about Miss USA, it's about anyone.

Dec. 20, 2006, 4:31 p.m.I quit watching the pageant years ago. I felt that a beauty pagenat should be just that a beauty pageant. But if you can sing and dance can be very friendly can give snappy answers to some rather stupid questions and you look ok you can still win. After saying alll this, beauty is still in the eye of the beholder.

Dec. 20, 2006, 10:21 p.m.Let's see...little girls at the age of 4 looking and dressing like sex symbols. They grow up to be sex objects and live for attention from men, money and sex. I'm not surprised by her behavior. I would expect that from anyone from that environment. Just look at Hollywood and the music industry, sad huh?

Dec. 21, 2006, 6:41 a.m.Who gives a rat's a@@ about her or Donald. You go Rosie... you were right on.... Donald is as much a public idiot as she is....

Dec. 21, 2006, 8:10 a.m.I was watching the CNN.com video and sincerely was appalled by Trumps harsh verbal attack against Rosie. While I am no fan of hers, or his... he maligned her outside, her insides and never actually addressed anything she said (about his multiple bankruptcies).
I found it disparaging that he made attacks on her weight, calling her a slob.. is this how he feels about ALL overweight people? Because a person with money that understands the term 'boycott' wants to know... Doodler

Dec. 21, 2006, 8:16 a.m.dude... like you never saw plastic bobbles before?
first... a good looking body is a dime a dozen... but an intelligent, articulate woman.. uh 'lady' is very difficult to find..
when I was that age, I was learning business, law and technology.... so... when she's my age (44)... on whose arm will she need to depend upon to get by... and at what price?

Dec. 21, 2006, 8:34 a.m.Very few people give a crap about her or the beauty contests anymore. After a year no one even remembers who they were. Since her reign is about to come to an end, maybe this is a way to keep her in the public eye. Thirty/forty years ago being Miss America meant something, it's kept going now by tradition. You used to have talent and high morals. Now the contestants win on looks only. I certainly would want my daughters to look to Ms USA as a role model. I want my daughters to be successful and bring meaning to the lives of others, not to be going on tour making speeches about, "if I could save the word I'd...", or "we need more clams in Maine".

Dec. 21, 2006, 8:54 a.m.I agree with you... I want my daughters to learn how to stand on their own two feet, find their own success in life, and at the same time, have enough character to stand and admit, they messed up rather then enforcing the old sterotype that women bawl like babies and look like barbies.. [and need to depend upon mens decisions to whether they succeed or fail]
Have respect in yourself before you can expect others to respect you... right? Have respect for the title you bear...
ah well... deaf ears...
Pagents are a thing of the past... How about Trump looking at finding the most talented (vice boobie-licious) and shining the spot light on them... (winning scholarships & funds based upon internal rather then external merits).

Dec. 21, 2006, 9:03 a.m.Who cares who's arm she will be leaning on when she is 44!?
I must commend you, You sound like someone who had to get by with "book learnin'", she on the otherhand has qualities that will certainly help her well into her future. So why bash her?
What I want is video of her supposed transgressions.

Dec. 21, 2006, 10:41 a.m.I was watching PBS last night and saw and heard the opera singer Renee Fleming sing Christmas carols, with the most gorgeous smile. Now for me there is a real beautiful woman. As for the slim, blonde bimbo, as they say, they are a dime a dozen and don't turn me on.
