Sept. 13, 2006, 12:33 a.m.Sean Penn may have finally beaten out Alec Baldwin as Hollywood's biggest moron. Why can't actors and actresses just stick to movies?

Sept. 13, 2006, 1 a.m.Dont know about a Beelzebub but Bush is a dumb one, especially when he does interviews. Those are not scripted by his staff.

Sept. 13, 2006, 1:22 a.m.marufio, Beelzebub is Satan or AKA the Devil. The comment is totally ridiculous and the article obviously is saying the democrats are saints and the republicans are evil. One of the more entertaining comments that I have ever heard was during a meeting of the Democatic National Committee in which the speaker stated that the Democratic Party was the party of honesty and integrity.
It took a long time to clear the tears out of my eyes from laughing at that joke. I figured that the speaker must certainly be a stand up comedian because he certainly is not living in this world!
If I was looking for Beelzebub - I would definitely just start with the DNC chairman Howard Dean and work down from there. Beelzebub is the king of deception - love that DNC!

Sept. 13, 2006, 2:37 a.m.ilgbf,
Yeah, like I'm going to believe someone that beats the mess out of people that take his photo, then wants to turn around and comment about the violent state of the world?
*coughs up some disbelief*
*shows it to you*

Sept. 13, 2006, 5:55 a.m.Sean Penn is absolutely right. Bush is dumb - everybody knows that. Penn just didn't go far enough. In addition to being dumb, George Bush is also a war crimuinal who is willing to sacrifice more young American lives because he won't admit that he made a mistake by invading Iraq. He's already admitted to war crimes. Why isn't he in jail?

Sept. 13, 2006, 9:01 a.m.I just cannot understand those on the extreme left like Sean Penn, who instead of making constructive comments about the poor performance of this administration resort to calling Bush "the devil". Get it right! Bush is just one of the Devil's minions. If anyone is consorting with the devil it is Cheney, not Bush. You can tell by Bush's speech pattern lately that he doesn't even believe what he is saying. He is not in control of our foreign policy and has not been since he took office.
I feel more sorry for GW than anything. He probably had fanciful plans for his administration, enriching his base, cutting taxes to the point the government could no longer function, doubling the national debt in 8 years, keeping the middle class down. Then Dick had to spoil it all by dragging him to war in Iraq when we really should have been finishing the legitimate job in Afghanistan. What a pity!

Sept. 13, 2006, 9:43 a.m.THANK GOD Sean Penn cleared that up for me. I only wish he would share his opinion on everything else, from religion to sports. After all, he's in movies so he MUST know everything.

Sept. 13, 2006, 10:39 a.m.Everyone is entitled to an opinion, unless you're an actor, it seems.
And by the way, there are just as many conservatives in show biz as there are liberals.

Sept. 13, 2006, 10:50 a.m.Finally, someone in the public eye speaks their mind about you know who! Hey! Penn also divorced Madonna!
How did he get where he is by not being good looking?

Sept. 13, 2006, 10:54 a.m.I don't give a flying fart what Sean Penn or any other actor has to say about politics. Why can't they just keep their opinions to themselves? If they think they are so smart why don't they all run for a political office?
-

endofdays
Sept. 13, 2006, 11:07 a.m.krosstx - you are right
I know this is going to bring some serious flack, but saying the president is "dumb" is a pretty stupid thing to say. I think that goes for every president there has ever been.
In Bush's case, the man graduated from Yale and got his MBA at Harvard. He may be inarticulate and clumsy, but he is not dumb.

Sept. 13, 2006, 11:09 a.m.The real question is why is the news media asking for the opinions of Sean Penn concerning any political issue. Penn was asked about his opinions concerning Bush. Penn didn't offer his views.
