July 28, 2006, 9:05 p.m.Chirsten's make mistakes too you know....none of us are perfect. What, he makes a mistake and we should look down on him? We all have problems and deal with them in different ways, I just hope he deals with his and moves on with his life.

July 28, 2006, 9:42 p.m.Are we going to crucify this man for a minor indiscretion?
Can I use Mad Max for my new screen name?

July 28, 2006, 10:19 p.m.Just because the name is Mel Gibson does not mean it is the actor. After all, there must be thousands of Mel Gibson's in America.
Let's face it, the actor Mel Gibson is a law abiding citizen just his buddies Bill O'Reilly, Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter.
Besides, we are talking about a man who built a private chapel on his Malibu property to attend Mass frequently and privately.
And, what was he doing out at that time of morning?
Maybe, it was business just like Senator Norm Coleman's dad was conducting in the wee small hours of the morning.

July 28, 2006, 10:23 p.m.It was just a youthful indiscretion, not unlike what happened to our Prez in Maine. How old do you have to be when it stops being a youthful indiscretion, Dubya was in his thirties when he got his DUI in Maine.

July 28, 2006, 10:26 p.m.Actors are way overrated and over paid, but I'm not going to dislike someone I've never met. Why this is news, I don't know.
I don't even know why I'm posting. Well maybe it's because it angers me to see how much money an actor makes. It's ridiculous. What's worse is when you hear actors bashing the US, yet without the US they wouldn't even have a pot to ****** in.

July 28, 2006, 11:04 p.m.One again...who cares? I think most people would be hard pressed to find ONE person who had not driven while under the influence. I am proud to say that I am a Christain, I am ashamed to say that, I too, have driven while under the influence. If non-Christians weren't so quick to point out the mistakes and bad choices that Christians make, this would not be "news". The point of being a Christian means that YOU ARE FORGIVEN (by God, not the general public and media)! Read the bible, go to church, do some research...."Christian" does not mean perfect!

July 28, 2006, 11:29 p.m.The point is that its hippocrates like him and other "christians" that try to force their version of the way to live on others. When he gets caught is it funnier than hell. I guess he needs to go home and read his Fairy Tale and pray to some virgin and then hell be "Forgiven" lol

July 29, 2006, 12:22 a.m.For all those non-Christians bashing this so-called fairy-tale belief of ours... well, I'll be praying for you. Believe me, if you refuse to accept Christ, you will regret what's headed your way - and I really do care about your eternal salvation.
Why else would I bother saying anything. Don't conform any longer to the pattern of this world... and so what if Mel made a mistake. It's not like I haven't done a plethora of drugs before... LOL.

July 29, 2006, 1:21 a.m.I'm more concerned with the treatment given Mr. Gibson by the Sheriff's Department. Had Mr. Gibson been a regular Joe, Jose, or JoJo, and made such threatening statements towards a deputy, you can bet he would have left his chicklets, as well as his blood sample, on the streets of Malibu. It disturbes me that Hollywood wields such power that the usually agressive LASD would allow one of it's deputies to be treated so disrespectfully. Regarding the character of Mr. Gibson, what remains to be seen in how he handles this incident. This is will be the testiment of his faith that his movie could never be.

July 29, 2006, 1:32 a.m.I believe NOTHING that the LA Sheriff Department or their people say!
It doesnt matter if its a movie star or not.
"Sugar ******" ... she wishes. Now she has a big story to tell for the rest of her life! Mel Gibson insulted me and my boobs!
Cant wait to see the 'video tapes' of Mel that the cops supposedly filmed. Sure...

July 29, 2006, 8:35 a.m.It's the attitude that some religious folks have, like that expressed by snoogans460, that I find so offensive.
Believe what you want to believe, but drop the pompous, threatening attitude. You're just a human being, no better or worse than the rest of us.
As far as Mr. Gibson goes, he's just another hypocritical religious fanatic. I'd have more compassion for him if he weren't so mean-spirited.
